Bus stop bystanders hold the key

POLICE have appealed for two men seen at a bus stop in Narre Warren around the same time as a life-threatening attack on a woman to come forward.
Police allege a 32-year-old woman was assaulted in Madison Avenue, near the corner of Josephine Avenue, between 12.30am and 1am after leaving a nearby house party late last month.
The woman, who is still in intensive care, has been left fighting for her life and is in a coma.
A 27-year-old man was charged with intentionally causing serious injury and recklessly causing serious injury. He will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates court on 8 December.
Police believe two men who were standing at a nearby bus stop around 12.30am may hold the key to new information.
The bus stop is located on Josephine Avenue near the intersection of Madison Avenue.
Police said buses were not running at this time and are unsure why the men were there.
