STAFF at Lollipops Playland and Cafe in Narre Warren are doing their bit this Easter.
The kids’ entertainment centre in Fountain Gate will open its doors on Good Friday, the first time the facility has done so.
Proceeds gathered from the day will be donated to the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
“We are currently in full swing and planning our day with ‘Hey dee ho’ music coming in to entertain, face painting, the Easter Bunny, our Lollipop the cat mascot appearance, games, and raffles prizes from retailers in the Westfield Shopping precinct,” Lollipops Fountain Gate manager Faye Owen said.
Retailers contributing to the cause include Officeworks, Toys R Us, Bakers Delight and TGI Fridays.
Former Channel Seven newsreader and current Fox Footy commentator Sandy Roberts will be opening the doors at Narre Warren Playland on Friday at 9am.
“Our staff have all donated their time and our food and beverage suppliers have graciously donated all our catering needs,” Ms Owen said.
Lollipops Playlands facilities can be found throughout Australia and cater for children aged 1 to 11.
Each year the Good Friday Appeal encourages people to donate in order to raise money for equipment, research and education in support of the Royal Children’s Hospital.
It’s believed more than $274 million has been raised for the hospital since the appeal started in 1931.
