THE City of Casey has launched two art exhibitions at the recently opened Endeavour Hills Library Art Space and the Civic Centre Art Space in Narre Warren.
A collection of work by local artist Jenni Ivins entitled Painting with Pixels will be featured in the new Endeavour Hills Library Art Space while a series of oil paintings called Through My Eyes illustrated by Laura White and Donna Mahon will be up in the Civic Centre Art Space.
City of Casey mayor Sam Aziz said both exhibitions were excellent displays of local talent and he encouraged residents to view them.
“Painting with Pixels has a wonderful variety of artworks including intriguing ‘mind drawings’ that call on the viewer to discover images and stories within them, photographs and a fascinating animation depicting the journey of a mind drawing.
“Through My Eyes is a collection of still life oil paintings of food and flora, showcasing their textures and richness, with all works being available to purchase,” Cr Aziz said.
Cr Aziz believes the Endeavour Hills Library Art Space development is another positive step for Casey’s artistic community.
“With the Endeavour Hills Library Art Space now open, the council currently has four great exhibition spaces across the municipality where local artists can showcase their works to the community and residents can view beautiful art close to home,” Cr Aziz said.
