Burglary links probed

WITHIN a matter of hours two Casey businesses were targeted last weekend.
Detective Senior Sergeant Rodney Moroney at the Narre Warren police station believes the burglaries are linked.
“Doors have been jemmied open both times but they failed to find anything to steal at the second location which was just down the road,” he said.
Thieves broke into the Casey Dental Group in Narre Warren South on the Cranbourne Narre Warren Road between 5.45pm on Friday 27 November and 7am the next morning.
A television which was on a wall mount and $150 in cash that was inside a tin at the reception was stolen.
A safe which contained $2000 in cash and a cheque book was also stolen after the offenders gained entry through the rear door.
An attempted burglary occurred hours later at Ultimate Veterinary Clinic also located on the Cranbourne Narre Warren Road.
CCTV footage has confirmed the thieves struck at 5.12am on Saturday 28 November.
An alarm went off and nothing was stolen.
Police are waiting to review the CCTV footage.
