HAWTHORN player Bradley Hill has been charged over an alleged assault at a Narre Warren nightclub in January.
Hill, 22, and a 22-year-old Pakenham woman were charged over an altercation with another man outside the Empire nightclub on Lauderdale Road, about 12.30am on 24 January.
The victim, a 21-year-old Berwick man, was treated for minor facial injuries, according to Casey CIU detectives.
Hill was charged with unlawful assault and summoned to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 27 June.
The woman was charged with recklessly causing injury and summoned to the same court on 31 May.
Hawthorn football operations manager Chris Fagan said Hill notified the club at the time of the incident and co-operated fully with police.
“The leadership group has already met on this matter and has decided that no sanction will be applied at this stage.
“The matter is now before the court and any sanction is in the hands of the judicial system.”
