PEOPLE making a difference in their local community are eligible for the Casey Australia Day Awards.
Nominations are now open for the community awards which recognise and celebrate people and activities that make Casey a great place to live, work and play, City of Casey mayor Shar Balmes said.
There are five individual award categories and another two categories open to groups and organisations.
Cr Balmes encouraged people to nominate individuals and groups for the awards.
Nominations for the individual Casey Citizens of the Year Awards, and for events and activities held between 1 January and 30 September, close on Friday 28 October.
