A FOURTEEN-year-old from Narre Warren was arrested last week, following a short pursuit through Hallam.
About 3.10pm on 10 November, police observed a young person driving a Holden Commodore station wagon near Hallam.
Police pursued for about 15 seconds until the driver stopped the car near Frawley Road and Belgrave-Hallam Road, and fled on foot. Police caught the youth, arrested him and charged him with theft of a motor vehicle.
The vehicle was stolen from Kelvin Grove in Springvale on 9 November.
Police said a court date has yet to be set.
