BUDDING writers finetuning their craft at Berwick’s Chisholm TAFE will put their finest work on show at a special function next Monday.
Guests will be entertained by an array of work including the poems of celebrated poet Earl Livings, as well as the home grown material of the professional writing and editing students who are hosting the night.
The annual event, dubbed The Big Read, is being held at Brett’s Cafe in Berwick and will present several different genres of material to the crowd.
Student Michelle Bertoncello said everyone was welcome to attend the event.
“To entertain our guests, local hero Swifty (Andrew Swift) will be playing and with $5 entry you will receive one free drink,” Ms Bertoncello said.
Finger food and a chance of winning a raffle prize will also be on offer to everyone in attendance.
The Big Read will take place at Brett’s Cafe, corner Clyde Road and Reserve Street, on 18 June from 7.30pm.
