Jarman leads Narre charge

NARRE Warren’s A-grade bowler Brendan Jarman, with a five-wicket haul, helped his side restrict St Mary’s to a moderate 146 in round 11 on Saturday.
In a must-win game for Narre Warren, St Mary’s won the toss and elected to bat. A good bowling and fielding performance by all players to have the opposition all out for 146.
Best of the bowlers were Jarman 5/34, Dwayne Hughes 3/56 and Ben Charles 2/26.
In reply Narre Warren is 4/29 with Jason Orchard 18, Charles 4 not out and Peter Vassiliou 4 not out.

Playing HSD and losing the toss Narre Warren was sent in to bat and a good start saw it lose its first wicket at 90, off just 12 overs.
However a few wickets went quickly that brought Paul McMahon and Andrew Hyndman together who steadied the innings. When McMahon was out for an excellent 156, they had taken the score from 4 /153 to 5/400 with Hyndman going on to make a century as well.
Narre Warren finished the day at 5/412 off 72 overs.
Best of the bats: McMahon 156, Hyndman 101not out, Michael Dennis 50 and James Vandam 35.

In the final game before the finals, Narre Warren is looking to finish the season off well.
Captain James Camilleri won the toss and elected to bowl. All the bowlers and fielding was excellent and Endeavour Hills was all out for 136 with Gareth Rees taking 3/26, Regan Welburn 3/31, Matt Brew 2/22 and Leigh Andrews 2/26.
With 21 overs to face, Mark Churchill and Gavin Maling opened and were rock solid putting on 65 before Churchill was out in the second last over for 13. At close of play Narre Warren are 1/71 with Maling 37 not out and Rees 0 not out.

Narre Warren won the toss, electing to bowl against Hallam.
Roy Huke and Mick Vandam bowled well to restrict Hallam to 4/67 early on, but it then got a partnership going until Chris Anderson got the breakthrough.
Narre Warren then applied the pressure, dismissing Hallam for 238.
Huke finished with 3/63, Rob Brew 3/26, Vandam 2/49 and Chris Anderson 1/54.
Narre then batted for 18 overs, finishing the day at 0/63 with under-15 player James Geirtz 47 not out.

Playing Coomoora at Berwick Fields, Narre Warren lost the toss and was sent in to bat, finishing with 9/104.
Best of the bats were Vic Bradshaw (36), Christian Winship (12), Dishan Kathurusinghe (14) and Fred Besterwitch 13.
Narre Warren then took to the field after tea to have Coomoora pass the score at 1/120.
Best of the bowlers was Besterwitch 1/13.

Narre Warren hosted Lyndale and batted first.
Trent Anderson and Ryan Misquith opened the innings getting the team off to a great start, losing the first wicket at 41 with Misquith being out for 11, Anderson was the next out for 31.
The team continued batting well with Matt Darvell retiring with 50 and Mark Blanko making 21.
Narre Warren declared at 6/152 and bowling three overs at Lyndale that finishing 0/2.

Hosting Doveton, Narre Warren won the toss and elected to bat.
The team got a good start to be 2/39, then with a great partnership of 93 from Anthony Jayalath and James Giertz helped to build a good total to finish with 7/204.
Best of the bats Giertz 51, Jayalath 51 and Nathan Prosser 37 all not out.

Travelling to Lyndale, Narre Warren won the toss and elected to bat.
Lyndale bowled and fielded well in the first 10 overs to have Narre Warren 0/37. From then on the team started to improve the run rate to be 1/86 after 20 overs and 3/145 after 30 overs.
With wickets in hand, the last 10 overs produced 63 runs with good batting and brilliant running between the wickets to have the score reach 8/205.
Best of the bats were Jack Spreckley 27 not out, Dylan Henry 16, Dylan Quirk 21 and Nicholas Shirt 14.

Playing Buckley Ridges, Narre Warren lost the toss and was asked to bat.
With the loss of some early wickets, the team looked to be in trouble with the score being 4/94 at the break.
The lower responded well taking the score to 191 at the close of play.
A great innings by David Santalucia (60) and Regan Todd (36 not out) kept Narre in the game and were well supported by Matthew Retallick, Luke Dovaston and Jamayne Vanculenburg.

Playing Berwick, Narre Warren won the toss and elected to bat.
All the batsmen made runs with the best on the night being Jaie Roberts (11), Billy Spreckley (5), Hamish West (5) to reach 6/81 after 24 overs.
The team persisted with good tight bowling and fielding to have Berwick 9/91 after the 24 overs.
Best of the bowlers were West (1/10), Toby Neill (1/5) and Matthew Bartlett (1/3).

Playing HSD Black, it won the toss and elected to bat first.
Good tight bowling and fielding saw HSD struggle to 3/27 after 10 overs.
A continued team effort by Narre Warren left HSD on 7/74 after 20 overs.
Best of the bowlers were Jackson Carter (2/9), Lachlan Berry (1/5), Jevon Fernando (1/6) and George Jayawardana (1/1).
Every Narre Warren player contributed to an excellent batting performance notching up a good win finishing 3/101 after the 20 overs.
Best of the bats were Mitchell Shirt (20 not out), Carter (16), Nathan De Silva (8), Berry (6) and Fernando (6). Great wicketkeeping by Berry and a great catch by Kevin Collins.
