Labour fails spelling test

LOCAL Liberal party members have jumped all over opposition leader Kevin Rudd and his team for spelling Hallam and Eumemmerring incorrectly.
Liberal candidate for Holt Emanuele Cicchiello labelled Mr Rudd careless and out of touch with the local community after spelling Hallam as Hallum and Eumemmerring as Eummerring.
The names were incorrectly spelt on a media release announcing Mr Rudd’s visit.
“It’s ironic that on the day Mr Rudd visits a local school to promote his so-called ‘education revolution’, he fails to get even a basic literacy skill like spelling right,” Mr Cicchiello said.
“If Kevin Rudd can’t get something as basic as spelling the names of suburbs he visits right, what hope does he have of properly managing Australia’s $1.1 trillion economy. This is just another example of Labor’s lack of attention to detail.”
Victorian Liberal Senator Mitch Fifield also voiced his concern at the gaffe.
