Chance for stardom

AUSTRALIAN television soap ‘Neighbours’ is looking for its next big star and local actors could have the chance to audition.
Girl’s magazine Dolly is conducting a national search to find two new Neighbours cast members and will be making one stop at Westfield Fountain Gate on Saturday, 22 July.
Neighbours stars Dan O’Connor (Ned), Eliza Taylor-Cotter (Janae) and MC Ryan Moloney (‘Toady’) will join Bronwyn McCahon, editor of Dolly and Jan Russ, casting director for Neighbours in centre court from 1.30pm.
Dolly is looking for one girl (aged 12 to 16) and one boy (aged 15 to 18) to become new Neighbours cast members.
The two young actors will need to prove they have the talent, motivation, star quality and drive to be Australia’s next TV stars: the successful candidates will each secure a three-month Neighbours contract – with the possibility of an extension for up to three years. Neighbours not only attracts thousands of Australian viewers but it also has a huge UK fan-base, so this isn’t just a shot at national fame, it’s a break into international stardom.
It is not possible to enter on the day, so interested teens should have already sent a video of themselves reading the audition script to Grundy.
