Woman attacked at home

POLICE are hunting two men who tried to drag a Narre Warren South woman out of her house on Sunday night.
The terrified 26-year-old fought off her attackers, who grabbed her by the neck, as she was standing near the back door of her Baringa Park Drive house.
Narre Warren Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Garry Kear said the motive for the crime was unclear with the men making no demands throughout the ordeal.
“We are unable to establish if it is a domestic matter,” he said.
“There does not appear to be any sexual nature to the crime or any intention to steal any property.”
He said the woman’s husband heard her screams and came to investigate. The men then ran off through the garage.
The woman was not hurt in the ordeal.
She described one attacker as being aged in his 40s with a chubby build, about 180cm tall with blonde shoulder-length hair and a moustache. He was wearing a black glove at the time of the attack.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact Narre Warren Police on 9705 3114.
