STUDENTS and members of the James Cook Primary School community have been putting their songwriting skills to the test.
The Endeavour Hills school recently held a competition to come up with a new school song.
Among a stack of entries grade-six student Lynette Kumar came up with the winning lines.
Her creative words will now form the basis of a new song that encompasses the school’s spirit.
Lynette wrote that everyone at James Cook treated each other how they would like to be treated and everyone got along with each other and had fun.
She said everyone welcomed each other with open hearts and all students encouraged each other and tried to set a good example.
