CASEY sports clubs could soon get to have more of a say about the state of their facilities and funding needs.
At last Tuesday’s council meeting, councillors moved that officers consider the establishment of six Casey sports forums to be held once a year within the city.
The forums would be held with the cooperation of local sports bodies to identify community concerns for sporting teams, such as ground allocations, funding shortages and related sporting matters.
Casey councillor Paul Richardson moved the motion last Tuesday and a report will now be presented to council in September.
