Clubs in on the recycling act

CASEY sports clubs can recycle aluminium cans, glass and plastic bottles, paper, cardboard and plastic containers free, during a weekly recycling service.
The City of Casey has sent information and registration forms to all local sports clubs.
Registration forms need to be returned to council by Friday 18 April.
Mobile garbage bins will be provided to interested clubs and collected weekly.
The current fortnightly service that is being utilised by some clubs will continue.
City of Casey mayor Janet Halsall said it was important that the community continued to take action to divert more waste from landfill.
She said the community could achieve this by recycling at home, sports clubs and workplaces.
Council asks that bins remain contamination free by only putting in the designated items.
Bins also need to be stored securely to ensure they are not damaged or stolen.
If you would like to take part in this initiative, contact City of Casey customer service on 9705 5200.
