NARRE Warren Bowls Club was well into the Melbourne Cup spirit with a Monday eve social.
Highlights were novelty events, sweeps with music by Muriel Clancy.

The open nominated triples winners were S. Bell, B. Brewster, N. Bell (s).
Runners-up were J. Smith, D. Smith, L. McCurren (s). Best last-game winners were S. Firmin, B. Potter, R. Hoare (s).

Thursday’s VLBA Pennant round six, due to Cup Day fixture, was played at home against Burden Park (2) with two rinks won each.
Narre Warren won 95/78. G. Hocking, B. Baldwin, B. Bemrose, N. Pugh (s) lost 23/25, E. Naismith, J. Fox, J. Naughton, E. Gibb (s) won 32/15, D. McGann, M. Clancy, I. Brotherton, S. Bell (s) won 26/16, T. Henneman, M. Horton, N. Dickie, E. Arnott (s) lost 14/22.
FRIDAY RVBA
Friday’s nominated RVBA triples winners were K. Fitzsimons, H. McCombe, F. Jarvis (s).

SATURDAY RESULTS

Saturday’s pennant round six, division four, section six played away against Burden Park (4) that had an easy win 17/105 to 1/81.

Division six, section six played at home against Noble Park (4) in a close match with Narre Warren getting the points 14/116 to 4/94.
