CASEY families have been invited to attend a community celebration on Saturday for the opening of the longawaited Lysterfield Park Mountain Bike Track.
Narre Warren North MP Luke Donnellan said the track would now become a worldclass facility, not just for the Commonwealth Games, but also for families after the games.
Justin Madden, Minister for the Commonwealth Games, will open the new track on Saturday at 10.30am.
The opening ceremony will be followed by a community bike ride at 11am, finishing with a barbecue lunch at noon.
Mr Donnellan said the $3 million delivered a network of almost 20 kilometres of new and upgraded bike trails, including a new 6.3km competition course.
