Second stabbing

THE second serious stabbing incident within a week occurred in Doveton last weekend.
The latest attack occurred on Sunday 14 December after a fight erupted between a group of men at a house in Oleander Street about 10.30pm.
Police believe two men who were visiting the property received serious stab wounds during the brawl. The wounded men staggered about 400 metres up the road where they were found a short time later by police.
A 22-year-old Doveton man was taken by ambulance to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition.
A 30-year-old Dandenong man was taken to the Dandenong Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening, stab wounds.
Police arrested three people at the scene. One was later taken to the Dandenong Hospital for treatment of minor stab wounds. A 23-year-old female and a 23-year-old male, both from Doveton, were taken to Dandenong police station where they are assisting police with their inquiries.
The Oleander Street incident follows a vicious axe assault in Doveton on 9 December.
