Thieves turn over pet store

STAFF at a pet and animal produce store arrived at work last week to find their phone lines had been cut and their front doors wide open.
The store, on Lauderdale Drive, Narre Warren, was targeted by thieves between 6pm last Thursday and 8am the following day.
Narre Warren police said the front doors had been jemmied and the phone lines had been cut to disable an alarm system.
All cash tills had been ransacked and phones had been pulled from the wall and desks.
Thieves also rummaged behind the counter in an apparent search for cash but without success.
Due to the size of the warehouse police said it was hard to determine whether items had been stolen.
Anyone with any information on the incident should contact Narre Warren police on 9705 3111 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
