THE City of Casey Access for All Abilities Program is inviting people over the age of 16 years with a disability to join the new weekly competition.
The competition will be held every Thursday night at 6.50pm at the Casey Indoor Sports Complex in Cranbourne. The cost is $10 per game.
The program develops and supports a diverse range of sport and leisure environments that are accessible to people with a disability.
City of Casey mayor Janet Halsall said it was a fun competition that was suitable for people of all abilities, male or female.
“Council is committed to supporting community sporting clubs because they play a vital role in providing opportunities for all members of our community to get involved and get active,” she said.
“The City of Casey encourages people with a disability to participate in sporting activities such as this as a way to live a healthy lifestyle, have fun and meet new people.”
The City of Casey Access for All Abilities Program is a partnership initiative with Merinda Park Basketball Club.
