‘BADGERING’ thieves have left car owners in a Narre Warren South street angry after six cars were targeted in the past week.
Since last Tuesday, car badges have been stolen from cars parked in Piccadilly Court.
Resident Glenn Hill had the badges stolen from his company car last week and his wife’s Hyundai was stripped of its badges.
In another incident, the badges were stripped from a car whose owner had only brought the new vehicle home four days ago.
Mr Hill described the thefts as ‘very ordinary’ and said it would be time consuming to have to replace the badges.
“We certainly are annoyed.
“In my case it was a company car so they will look after me and replace the badges.
“The Hyundai badges were stolen from my wife’s car and I am not sure what cost we are looking at there.
“Maybe between $50 and $100. With five or six cars hit in the street the money does add up,” Mr Hill said.
Mr Hill said the culprits needed to grow up and do the right thing by the community.
“It is embarrassing to tell your boss that the badges were nicked off the company car when it was parked in my own private driveway,” he said.
