THE wellbeing of Casey residents is in good hands with the opening of the Littlecroft Family Resource Centre in Narre Warren on Tuesday.
The centre will deliver a range of services to locals, including a children and family centre, in the new state-of-the art facility.
Existing playgroups, kindergarten programs and parent support groups already established at the community hub will complement the establishment of the new centre.
A dedicated maternal and child health service is also part of the Littlecroft Family Resource Centre along with professional consulting suites and a community meeting room.
Community Services and Children Minister Sherryl Garbutt joined Casey mayor Kevin Bradford at the opening of the $650,000 centre and said it would help deliver a range of children’s services for the ever-increasing amount of families in the area.
“The centre will deliver a modern one-stop children and family centre to support families living in the fast growing City of Casey,” Ms Garbutt said.
The establishment of the centre has been credited to local and state government officials working in conjunction with other community groups.
Ms Garbutt said offering services to families was vital to the community and as a result the government was investing in children’s services across Victoria.
