THE Berwick Show is finally rolling into town after months of preparation and anticipation.
City of Casey mayor Janet Halsall encouraged the community to discover this weekend’s show – Victoria’s oldest agricultural and horticultural show – at Akoonah Park.
“I hope to see Casey residents of all ages and interests coming together to enjoy this local event,” she said.
The weekend event, 23-24 February is jam-packed with entertainment for the whole family.
The show features a range of entertainment and activities including the animal nursery, arts and crafts, sheep, dog and cattle competitions, carnival rides, side shows and show bags, wood chipping, live bands and a spectacular fireworks display on Saturday night at 9pm.
Humphrey B. Bear, Rock It! and some of the Casey Idol participants are among those on the main stage while the thrilling Empire Fly Motocross stunt riders and Sampson the Monster Truck show will excite the main arena.
Free public parking is available on Edwin Flack Reserve and a community bus will run from there to the showgrounds every 20 minutes.
Parking is available at the showgrounds for $5 a car.
The Berwick Show runs from 9am to 10pm on Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday.
Entry for adults costs $15, aged pensioners and children from 10 to 15 $8 and children under the age of 10 are admitted free.
A family ticket for two adults and two children can be purchased for $30.
