MORE than 500 young adults took the next step in their lives on Monday when they were welcomed into the fold at Monash University Berwick.
An official academic procession greeted the first-year students as they were told of the education journey ahead.
Monash Union of Berwick Students president Keegan Street gave the opening ceremony a student perceptive with a look at the lighter side of academic life.
Casey mayor Colin Butler also welcomed the students to Berwick and was joined by campus pro vice-chancellor Professor Phillip Steele in wishing them the best of luck.
