BERWICK’S David Nutter Ford dealership entertained more than 300 guests on Monday night as the president of Ford Motor Company Australia, Bill Osborne, unveiled the new Ford FG Falcon.
But the new car wasn’t the only thing worth celebrating. For the past 18 months the dealership had been undergoing renovations and this was its official reopening.
The cocktail party kicked off at 6.30pm with guests including Cardinia Shire mayor Bill Ronald, City of Casey CEO Mike Tyler and councillors Mick Morland and Brian Hetherton.
Mr Osborne was impressed with the rebuilt dealership and said it was one of the best designs he had ever seen.
He said the brightly lit open plan was modern and fresh.
“The customers will be pleased as they can see the whole dealership,” he said.
Mr Osborne said the aim was to always give the customers a great and memorable retail shopping experience.
Mr Nutter said the new Falcon, in the making for the past five years, was great value for money. It was quieter, smoother to drive and more economical, he said.
Mr Osborne said he had been impressed with Australia’s Ford Falcons ever since they first started producing them.
“When I had a test drive of the new FG Falcon it just blew me away. But don’t just trust me,” he said. “I may be a little biased so take it out for a test drive yourself.”
V8 supercar driver Stephen Richards was also there on the night with the Formula Ford display.
