HALLAM Valley Primary School students showed that practice makes perfect after more than two months of rehearsal for their school production Strictly Movies.
Director and parent Jenni Simons described the performance as a fantastic success and praised the students’ hard work and determination that saw the show see more than 500 parents and friends enjoy the performance.
“The show was a roaring success. We have had so much wonderful feedback from parents and teachers from the school and the general community,” Ms Simons said.
The performance involved more than 100 students ranging from Grade Prep to Grade Six and two bands who were all given the opportunity to showcase their talents.
Ms Simons said that she believed that the success of the production was also due to the choice of performances.
“We chose songs and movies that the majority of people would know, we covered songs from Grease, Blues Brothers and the Wizard of Oz to name a few,” Ms Simons said.
“School productions like this are wonderful.
“It really helps to build a sense of community within the school, something that Hallam Valley Primary should be proud of.”
