BERWICK and Narre Warren received some of the heaviest rainfall during a deluge in the south east on Monday.
Bureau of Meteorology weather stations recorded 50mm of rain in Berwick and 47mm in Narre Warren on the day.
Gardeners were gleeful as the much-needed water was soaked up by plants and trees across the City of Casey.
Hampton Park recorded 17mm of rain while Cranbourne received 13mm.
Several shops and properties suffered damage in the downpour and motorists had to do their best to avoid flooded roads.
Narre Warren State Emergency Service media officer Kanny Lee said the unit received three call-outs for assistance.
