CRANBOURNE bowlers were in fine form to win their pennant matches in five of the six divisions.
Four of the sides had huge margins in excess of 50 shots and are well positioned in their respective sections.
Cranbourne (1) blitzed Burden Park on all rinks to win by 51 shots, with Peter Elgar’s team leading the way with a 19-shot win.
Brian Gay inspired his team to a 21-shot success and the side retains second position on the ladder.
Cranbourne 118 d Burden Park 67. L. Quigg 27-24; B. Gay 34-13; R. Travica 26-18; P. Elgar 31-12.
Cranbourne (2) visited Burden Park and came home with a confidence-building 14-shot victory.
The Glen Imeson-skipped team led the way in a dominant 26-shot triumph, while Neil Fell’s rink continued on its winning way with a five-shot win.

Cranbourne (3) produced its best performance for the season to demolish hosts Mentone by 56 shots.
Cranbourne won three rinks, with skip Wally Ballard leading his team to a superb 24- shot win.
Skip Mick Rowswell’s team, together with Rob Paddon’s rink, were too strong for their opponents with respective wins of 24 and 11.

Cranbourne (4) travelled to South Oakleigh Club expecting a tough battle, but, after some anxious moments early, the side recorded a 58-shot success.
George Ljepojevic showed his liking for the synthetic surface and his team completely dominated its opponents for a 37-shot win.
Other winners were the teams of Roger Roscoe and Allan Dennis, with wins of 15 and nine shots respectively.
Cranbourne 129 d South Oakleigh Club 71. R. Lyfield 22-25, A. Dennis 25-16, G. Ljepojevic 47-10, R. Roscoe 35-20.
Cranbourne (5) was surprised by an enthusiastic and competitive Dandenong Club side in a 42-shot defeat.
This side still holds top position on the ladder and will need to reproduce its early season form.
Sofia Raiti’s team was the only winner, with a nine-shot margin.

Cranbourne (6) continued its winning form with a 55-shot triumph over Hampton RSL.
Cranbourne won all rinks to gain full points in a superb performance.
Veteran Gerry Winters revelled in the cooler conditions to lead the way with a 21-shot win.

Cranbourne (1) was at home in the Ladies’ Pennant to Noble Park and displayed some of its best form of the season in a 16-shot victory.
Cranbourne won three rinks in a very competitive match, with skip Kath Dudink’s rink leading the charge with a seven-shot margin.
Shirley Venville’s and Lee Kidd’s teams were the other winners.

Cranbourne (2) was no match for Beaumaris and was beaten by 27 shots.
Skip Thelma Lennon and her team lost a close three-shot result.

Cranbourne suffered a disheartening one-shot defeat to Dandenong RSL in its Ladies’ Saturday Pennant match.
The scores were close throughout the match, but the RSL ladies got over the line in a nail-biter.
Skip Lee Kidd’s rink performed well for a 12-shot success.
