STUDENTS at a Narre Warren South school are celebrating the opening of new classrooms and a car park.
Heritage College held a ceremony for staff, students and parents on Thursday 20 November to mark the final stage of development for the Narre Warren campus, with MP Anthony Byrne unveiling the plaque.
The new block has four classrooms, all air-conditioned, cost $960,000 and will be a boon to the school’s 386 students, according to principal Stuart Barons.
“The car park has been a real blessing to us,” he said. “For a number of years traffic congestion has been chaotic.”
Heritage College is operated by the Seventh Day Adventist Church and funding for the project was helped by a government grant of $550,000.
