FOUR former ABC Learning centres in Casey are on the market.
They are in Pound Road, Hampton Park, Victor Crescent, Narre Warren, Gleneagles Drive, Endeavour Hills and Stirling Avenue, Cranbourne North.
They are four of 11 across the state for sale or lease to the childcare sector after the collapse of the ABC Learning group.
Although suitable for childcare purposes, the centres can also be fitted out for other uses, according to Jones Land LaSalle managing director (Victoria) Andrew Wood.
“In most instances, the centres are modern purpose-built childcare centres in high exposure locations with facilities such as on-site car parking and other infrastructure that may also make the properties suited for other uses,” he said.
“We anticipate a very solid level of interest from childcare centre operators due to their scarcity and high replacement cost, plus other groups who recognise the underlying potential in the sites including community uses, specialist medical use, consulting suites, aged care services or developers for total redevelopment in to residential apartments.”
Eleven centres in Queensland, seven in New South Wales, six in South Australia and five in Western Australia are also for sale or lease.
Expressions of interest close at 1pm on Wednesday 25 March at Jones Lang LaSalle offices.
