Casey residents’ ideas sought for healthier living

CASEY residents’ ideas and opinions could help shape the new Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.
City of Casey is urging people who live, work, study or play in Casey to submit their ideas by completing a survey or attending one of the public sessions.
Discussion will be based around housing, safety, education, income security, the built and natural environments, transport and a sense of neighbourhood belonging.
“This is an excellent opportunity for people to consider the issues that affect their ability to lead a healthy lifestyle and contribute to the creation of the Municipal Health and Wellbeing Plan that will have an impact on the development of healthy local communities,” acting mayor Daniel Mulino said.
“We know what’s important to keep ourselves healthy, and this is a wonderful opportunity to contribute your ideas on the broader issues of community health,” he said.
Copies of the survey can be obtained from Customer Service Centres at Narre Warren, Narre Warren South and Cranbourne; the City of Casey website at www.casey.vic.gov.au; or by calling on 9705 5200 to have a copy sent in the post.
Everyone is welcome to attend one of the public sessions to be held on Tuesday 28 April, 10am until noon at the old shire offices, Corner of Sladen and High Street, Cranbourne; or Thursday 30 April, 6.30pm until 8.30pm at the City of Casey Civic Centre, Magid Drive in Narre Warren.
