Nominate for arts award

CASEY mayor Geoff Ablett is encouraging nominations for the Lindsay King Arts Initiative Award, to recognise Casey residents who have been dedicated to the development of arts and culture locally.
“This award, named in memory of the late Lindsay King, commemorates a vigorous commitment to the arts, and the passion for local history, tourism and culture of one man, and the positive impact he made on the arts community in Casey,” Mayor Ablett said.
“I encourage City of Casey residents to show your gratitude to a worthy community member by nominating them for this important award.”
Nominations are open now and will close on 29 June. The winner will be announced at the annual Mayoral Arts Dinner in August.
For further information or nomination forms, contact the council’s art development co-ordinator on 9705 5200 or visit www.casey.vic.gov.au/arts.
