Students dish up a real treat

By Kelly Yates
KAMBRYA College students cooked up a storm as they prepared a two-course meal for members from the Rotary Club of Berwick.
Each year the club visits the school for the dinner, which allows the hospitality students to practise their preparation, cooking and serving skills.
The dinner, held on Thursday 10 September, also gave the students an opportunity to organise and run a catered function.
The members were treated to entertainment on the night by the school’s band. Rotary club president John Rosenthal presented an $8000 cheque to Kambrya College principal Michael Muscat.
“The school should be proud of their students. They did a sterling job of looking after us on the night,” Mr Rosenthal said.
Rotarian Mick Morland said the club’s members were delighted to see how far the students had improved their skills.
