JAMES Cook Primary School students are being encouraged to play outdoors, after synthetic grass was recently laid at the school.
Principal Kathryn Sharp said the new turf, which was completed as a result of Federal Government funding, had injected colour and a sense of pride into the Endeavour Hills school.
“We have also resurfaced our basketball and netball courts with a colourful Layk-old surface,” she said.
“They have court markings for four square, tennis, basketball and netball.”
The school will soon install a vertical fence and resurface an asphalt area outside its hall.
