JAMES Cook Primary School students are set to take off on an excursion this month to tour the new Singapore Airlines A380 at Melbourne Airport.
The students in grade 1/2B won second prize in a Singapore Airlines art program.
The budding artists submitted artwork based on the theme of flight.
Teacher Filomena Garner said the students focused on what could be seen looking down from a plane.
“The students drew pictures of city buildings, Melbourne landmarks and the Singapore airplane,” Ms Garner said.
“It was a lot of hard work but the students accepted the challenge and set to work using the “You Can Do It’ key of persistence.”
Singapore Airlines representative Vanja Brown visited the school last week and handed out boarding passes for the tour.
