Season in song for carols

THE 34th annual Casey Carols by Twilight will be held at the Max Pawsey Reserve in Narre Warren on Christmas Eve.
Presented by the Berwick Church of Christ, the carols started in 1975 with a crowd of 200 in Webb Street.
Today, hundreds of local families celebrate the carols at Max Pawsey Reserve in front of the Fountain Gate shopping centre.
Holt MP Anthony Byrne thanked the church for the enormous work they did to organise the community event.
“The Casey Carols by Twilight recognises that Christmas is a time for families to come together,” Mr Byrne said.
“It is extremely important that local family events such as the Casey Carols by Twilight are supported and continue to grow.”
Feature artists at this year’s carols include Lucy Bailey, JJ Bruce, Daniel Kelaart, Madison Prichett and the Casey City Church Band.
Families can gather for a picnic on the park from 6.30pm before the carols begin at 8pm.
