CASEY residents are invited to enjoy live music at Wilson Botanic Park this summer.
Jazz, eighties and blues music will feature at the Berwick park, which is open for extended hours during the summer months.
Casey mayor Lorraine Wreford said Wilson Botanic Park was one of the most beautiful locations in the municipality, and residents were in for a treat with the addition of music by the lake this summer.
“Residents should bring along a rug or chair and make themselves comfortable for some fantastic nights of musical entertainment. Visitors can also bring along a picnic or purchase snacks, however, as these are family-friendly events, alcohol is not allowed,” Cr Wreford said.
Blues by the Lake featuring Dutch Tilders and the Nighthawks and Jeannie Lushes will perform on 30 January from 6pm.
’80s Retro by the Lake featuring Controversy will be performed on 20 February from 6pm and Rock’n’Roll by the Lake featuring Flashback and The Fender Benders will perform on 20 March from 6pm.
Tickets: $30 family, $15 an adult, $10 concession, or $5 for a child will be available at the gate.
