A RECORD number of preps have started their school journey at Berwick Fields Primary School, with 181 students in eight prep grades.
The new preps at the Gwendoline Drive school have spent the past week playing games, learning numbers and the alphabet, and developing social skills.
Prep teacher Staci Biggins told the News the prep students had been taking part in the ‘Setting Up For Success program’, which allows teachers and students to get to know each other and the school.
“The students are settling in really well,” she said.
“This is the biggest number of preps we’ve had. We’re growing each year,” Ms Biggins said.
