Better life, bar none

By Bridget Cook
JULIE Smith believes a hands-on process called ‘the bars’ helped save her from the brink of death to now lead a vibrant life.
The Berwick resident said after she suffered from many long-term medical conditions and post traumatic stress disorder she had been suicidal.
But after meeting Liam Phillips, author of Curing the Incurable, he introduced her to ‘the bars’, which helped turn her life around.
In the past 30 years, Ms Smith has been diagnosed with illnesses including chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and anaphylaxis, a severe and potentially life-threatening allergic reaction.
In March 2008 Ms Smith was diagnosed with chemical sensitivity which saw her have more than 15 anaphylactic reactions and forced her to wear a chemical gas mask to avoid exposure to everyday chemicals.
She said her health started to improve after one ‘bars’ session with Mr Phillips. The bars process involves the facilitator lightly touching 32 bars of energy that run through and around a person’s head. Activating these points aims to allow electrical energy to flow through, particularly points on the head that hold limiting ideas and beliefs.
Ms Smith said with weekly bars session she can now eat anything she wants, she no longer wears the gas mask, her chronic fatigue no longer rules her life and she has dropped more than four dress sizes.
Ms Smith will hold bars workshops in February. For further details or to book call Ms Smith on 0419 583 660.
