LOCAL trainers made the most of the home ground advantage to win four from eight starts at Cranbourne Racecourse on Sunday.
Devon Meadows trainer Pat Trotter won race two, the $15,000 Wise Employment maiden plate, with Exceptional Dancer ridden by Dwayne Dunn.
Not far behind in second was two-year-old filly Serene Tanie, trained by Nar Nar Goon’s Robbie Laing. In race four, Stanzior won the 1400-metre race by nearly four-and-a-half lengths for Cranbourne trainer Colin Davies, ahead of another Robbie Laing trained horse, Baby Nation.
Race five saw Brad Rawiller ride Cascabel to victory for Cranbourne’s Robbie Griffiths while Annieanna was the fastest in the 1200-metre race six, with Craig Williams at the helm for Cranbourne trainer Michael Kent. Fellow Cranbourne trainer Grant Dalziel’s Testy Girl wasn’t far behind.
