Don’t knock it

“DO not knock” stickers are available for Casey residents.
The stickers are an easy way for residents to let salespeople know they want to be left alone, says Narre Warren North Labor MP Luke Donnellan.
“When talking with residents, a lot of people have brought the issue up of being hassled by salesmen in their homes,” he said.
“You could be sitting down to dinner with the family when all of a sudden you get interrupted by someone trying to sell you a product.”
Mr Donnellan said the response to an initial mailout of 3500 “Do Not Knock” stickers to senior residents was “positive”, showing residents wanted to protect their privacy.
“I’ve received calls from people whose parents have already received a sticker in the mail asking for one, two, so it’s clear such a simple measure is wanted in the community,” he said.
Mr Donnellan said charities and other organisations should not be affected by the stickers. Call Mr Donnellan’s office on 9706 0566 for details.
