SIX students from Kambrya College attended The Alpine School at Dinner Plain in Mt Hotham where they were taught about leadership.
They developed a Community Learning Project as part of their assessment during term three and gave presentations to Grade Four students at Brentwood Park Primary School, Fleetwood Primary School and Berwick Lodge Primary School about healthy living and learning to appreciate what they have in their community.
The presentation included a talk and a PowerPoint presentation and the children were split into three groups to do an art activity, a sport activity and play some games.
The art activity was to get the kids thinking about what they love about Australia. They then had to make posters with drawings and sentences of things that they love.
The sport activity aimed to get the kids outside in the fresh air and to just have fun playing some of their favourite sports.
It was a mix of running games, ball games and there was also a competition for the healthiest lunch box.
Kambrya College student Kate Campbell said the presentation went well.
“I think the presentations so far have been really successful and the kids have really enjoyed them and hopefully learnt something from them too,” Ms Campbell said.
