TWO Endeavour Hills’ students have a vision of peace.
Year 7 students, Samuel Robertson and Theresa Yeoh from Maranatha Christian School are the local winners of the 2010 Lions Peace Poster Contest with the theme ‘Vision of Peace’.
The peace posters were reviewed by independent judges, and the winning entries will compete at a district level next month.
The Lions Club or Endeavour Hills membership chairman Pauline Spry said all entrants did a great job.
“They were all very high (standard),” she said.
The Lions Club holds the Peace Poster Contest around the world each year for students aged 11 to 13.
More than 350,000 children worldwide participate each year and 24 students are selected as international finalists, after judging at a local, district, multiple district and international level.
