STUDENTS from Fountain Gate Secondary College had local primary school kids rocking last week.
Singers, dancers and musicians toured seven primary schools over three days to perform a free 45-minute concert to seven primary schools.
“It was a huge hit,” teacher Wayne Smith said.
“They performed to over 3000 kids.”
The secondary college holds an annual talent quest and the best acts are chosen to tour.
Mr Smith said the tour gave the performing students a great experience being on the road and performing to kids they didn’t know.
This year the students put on a concert featuring hip-hop dancing, singing and live music to students at Hampton Park Primary School, Fountain Gate Primary School, Maramba Primary School, Berwick Lodge Primary School, Kilberry Valley Primary School, Fleetwood Primary School and Dandenong Valley School.
“It was really a whole mix of music – to keep the staff happy and the kids happy,” Mr Smith said.
Next year, Fountain Gate Secondary College is thinking of touring further and also performing to schools in Gippsland.
