HALLAM Community Learning Centre will be celebrating its 25th year in March.
The vibrant community hub began when new mothers got together and organised playgroups for their young children.
They lobbied with the City of Berwick to provide funding for a co-ordinator to facilitate activities and the Hallam Community Learning Centre expanded to include a number of different activities throughout the week.
The centre has been in a number of locations throughout Hallam, starting at a Uniting Church, then it moved to the Recreation Reserve and then to the Mapleson Kindergarten building in Kays Avenue in 1997.
The centre will have a 25th year celebration on the afternoon of 31 March at Mapleson House.
Past members of the Committee of Management are encouraged to contact the centre.
Current members are looking forward to catching up and swapping stories and to proudly showcase current activities.
Anyone who can attend or has information about past members can contact Ingrid on 9703 1688 or email ingrid@hallamcc.com.au for catering purposes.
