A SAFE was stolen from a residential property on Belgrave Hallam Road in Narre Warren North between 3pm on Saturday 9 April and 12.30am on Sunday 10 April.
The owner’s sister, who was staying at the one-acre property, reported the incident after arriving home to see the rear sliding door open. The house was ransacked but it is still unsure what else was stolen.
The offender discovered the safe, which was stored under a stairwell, and smashed it from its wall mounts with an axe that was found in the garage.
