A MAN received serious leg injuries after falling from a ladder in Endeavour Hills last week.
The incident occurred at about noon on Wednesday 18 May.
Intensive care paramedic Stuart Aisbett said a man, 54, was believed to be cleaning gutters when the ladder he was standing on slipped out from underneath him and he landed on his left hip on the concrete.
The man was fitted with a neck brace, given pain relief and fitted with a splint to his pelvis.
He was then taken to the Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition.
“This man is very lucky not to have suffered head or more serious injuries,” Mr Aisbett said.
“I would encourage anyone doing odd jobs around the house while up a ladder to make sure there’s someone with you.
“They can hold the ladder steady and get help if something goes wrong.”
