FIRE-FIGHTERS from Hallam and Narre Warren attended a blaze believed to be deliberately lit in Hallam.
About 5pm on Monday, the CFA was called to a fire near Nettle Drive and Saffron Drive.
Hallam CFA senior station officer Kerry Phillips said there was only smoke left when crews arrived.
He said polystyrene blocks under a housing slab were set alight.
“The polystyrene blocks burn quite quickly, so the fire had died right down by the time we arrived,” Mr Phillips said.
Police are investigating the incident.
