Helping hand

MONASH University marketing students have been working together to raise the profile of 12 local neighbourhood houses and community learning centres.
As part of their studies, students are required to write a marketing plan and implementation guide for real organisations.
This year, the City of Casey’s neighbourhood houses and community learning centres will benefit from those resources.
The aim of the project is to give students practical experience in the preparation and presentation of a marketing plan.
It includes a thorough situation analysis, identification of the key issues, development of marketing objectives and the provision of detailed strategies and tactics.
Casey’s manager of community strengthening, Janette Green, applauded the students’ effort.
“It’s great to see local organisations getting the kind of marketing support that might not otherwise be affordable,” Ms Green said.
