AN ELDERLY man was hit by a car and thrown from his motorised scooter in Hampton Park.
About 9.15am on Thursday 30 June, the man was crossing the street near the corner of Pound and Hallam roads when he was hit by the car, thrown from the scooter and knocked unconscious, intensive care paramedic Kiran Ablett said.
“The 78-year-old suffered some suspected lower leg fractures, a suspected fractured pelvis and we believe he may have a head injury,” Mr Ablett said.
The man was given neck support and pain relief and was taken to The Alfred hospital in a stable condition.
